The Creating Safe Communities: A Five Year Strategy for the NWT 2015-2020 is the product of the NWT Network to Prevent Abuse of Older Adults, a collection of 73 individuals and agency members from government, NGO, First Nations and community organizations across the territory.
NWT Seniors’ Society Reports
Creating Safe Communities for Older Adults has been conducted in a number of communities over the past number of years.
The two-day workshop, facilitated by NWT Seniors’ Society staff, generally includes different PowerPoint presentations, providing an overview of the Society and topics discussed during the two days. They are also sometimes used by guest speakers, such as the local RCMP detachment representatives.
